Dr Xutian Liang
Graduated with first class honors in Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 2008 and has been a Certified Veterinary Acupunturist since 2011.
Xutian’s veterinary interests are in Behaviour, Nutrition, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr Xutian Liang is a registered as a veterinarian with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Western Australia and Singapore. She has successfully received her credentials as an IAABC Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant and is also a KidsAroundDogs approved professional, the first in Singapore and the second in Australia. She is passionate about educating the public on dog behaviour and the prevention of dog bites and has begun offering school talks both in Singapore and in Australia as she believes in educating our younger generation as they can be great examples to their parents!
Xutian is also an Elite Status Fear Free Certified Veterinarian and has a certificate in Canine & Feline Animal Nutrition.
Xutian’s consultations are designed to be fear free and she emphasizes on the animal’s wellbeing and goes at their pace rather than at hers. She acknowledges that a fear free pet will be a happy pet and she wants pets to love vets and not dread them!
Xutian also offers individualised nutritional diet plan formulations to ensure that your pet’s daily meals are well balanced and healthy and she can either evaluate your current meal plans or formulate new ones from scratch both for a normal pet or one with medical conditions.
Xutian’s home is filled with lots love, fur and barks from Solomon, a Singapore Special, Goji, an ex-breeding Frenchie, Mosie, a Chained Dog Awareness rescue and being bossed about by 3 rescue cats Matt, Twiky and Earl and her two children.
She is also a director of Chained Dog Awareness Singapore, an animal welfare group which has the mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs previously caged or chained as well as educating the general public and future generation on how to be responsible pet guardians.
